Morgue Video - Young Man Handled Like a Ragdoll During Autopsy

Another morgue video proving that autopsy doctors don’t particularly handle those (albeit former) human beings with any care whatsoever. I understand that the body temple is no longer alive and it’s just a mass of flesh and bones, but as I was watching this video, I sort of expected the doctor to slice off a little bit of tender thigh from that young man, trim the fat off and slam it on the scales to put a price tag on it before he wraps it up in a vacuum sealed plastic. It’s kind of ironic that funeral homes would dress them all up and start treating them with care again when mourning family comes to pick the coffin with the body up and shell out for it. But when mourning family is not looking, the body is treated no better than a rag doll. The best part is when the pathologist shoves his hand up young man’s neck to rip his tongue out and all the rest of intestines with it.

This morgue video has Russian titles in the beginning which reads: “City Morgue of Saint Petersburg”. I’m not sure if it was in fact recorded in the Saint Petersburg morgue, or whether it’s just some form of spoof, but one thing is for sure – turn the music down before you start watching. Whoever is the jackass who edited the video, he deserves raping from an elephant for putting that stupid sound on loop throughout the video. What kind of bullshit is that for fuck sake? Duh!

Quality Autopsy Video - Young Woman Killed by Amitriptyline Overdose

This is the best quality autopsy video I have seen to date. It contains English language commentary by an expert pathologist who describes in detail each action performed by the doctors at the table. The individual on whom the autopsy is performed is a young woman whom the pathologists suspect had died from drug intoxication caused by Amitriptyline overdose. As the pathologist explains, Amitriptyline is an antidepressant medication. It’s pretty messed up when a young woman, with seemingly decent body poisons herself to death with antidepressants.

The video contains everything from the corpse being laid out on the autopsy table, through application of Y incision and peeling of the skin to reveal the chest and abdomen cavities. Early into the autopsy, the pathologists discover that the woman had breast implants and recover silicone stuffings from her boobies, which they later put back so she can rot with those synthetic balloons resting on her decomposing flesh. That would explain the need for Amitriptyline – if I had fake tits, I’d be depressed too. Even with silicone in them, those breasts didn’t look fake though – not even doctors themselves suspected fake boobs until a cut into the silicone suggested that there’s some alien tissue in those saggies.

It gets interesting when the pathologists start cutting the woman’s rib cage (chest plate) – the tool they use looks very much like pruning shears you’d use to shape hedges with. This exposes the lungs and the heart so they can check for possible blood clots. After all of the woman’s innards have been removed, the pathologists proceed to open the woman’s skull to expose her brain.

The next step is to examine each organ individually. The grossest looking one is the woman’s uterus. If you’re a heterosexual male, you may experience strange feeling after the pathologist cuts open the vagina to expose the cervix. That’s what you stick your dick into and bump into with your glands when you’re ramming your better half. The sight of the tongue attached to the epiglottis – which is also where you ram your dick into doesn’t look any more appealing either.

Due to YouTube length restrictions, the video is split into two parts, both of which are provided below. Aside from her shrunken kidney, the autopsied individual seemed otherwise reasonably healthy and would have likely enjoyed many more years of life had she not succumbed to anti-depressants.

This young woman was suspected of being a Muammar Gaddafi supporter so she was brutally tortured and murdered. From the video it appears as though she was severely beaten and shot several times.

I don’t get what pathologists are doing to her. Are they measuring the depth of the cavity? Or was it just an excuse to sneakily feel her nipples? Too many videos of people getting slaughtered and tortured coming out of Libya these days. Those are some tough times ahead of Libyans. Terrorists don’t mess around.

The Act of Seeing with One’s Own Eyes is a film by Stan Brakhage documenting autopsies performed in the Pittsburgh’s morgue. Filmed in 1971, The Act of Seeing with One’s Own Eyes has that old and creepy feel you would expect from a movie produced in that time period.

The Act of Seeing with One’s Own Eyes is the literal translation of the greek word “autopsia” form which word Autopsy derives. There is no audio, no narrative or subtitles. It’s just a raw and uncensored look at autopsies performed on dead bodies.

1979 US Army Medicolegal Pathologists Instructional Video

While there is a great deal of common sense stuff in this video, I found it very educational and learned a lot. I also found the vintage feel and approach very raw and sincere. I think you will find the 33 minutes spent watching the video worthwhile.

The video concisely but comprehensively covers many aspects of the Medicolegal Pathology. It was produced by the US Army in 1979 and gets right to the point and stays on point throughout until the end. I thoroughly enjoy any instructional or educational materials issued by the US army because it never contains any blabber, never delves deeply into the background of the processes hence you never need to weed through endless clutter of unusable crap to get to the information you need (US Army survival and evasion manuals are my bible of wilderness survivalism).

The video was produced as an informational manual for Medicolegal Death Investigators involved with autopsies and covers a range of causes of death with to the point instructions on how to approach them, what to look for, how to properly evaluate them and how not to confuse them with what they are not. The areas covered include:

  • Gunshot Wounds – how to determine the approximate range (though it would seem that we no longer use the “contact range” name but rather refer to it as “point blank” these days), direction of fire, shotgun wounds
  • Blunt Force Wounds – contusion, abrasion and laceration
  • Sharp Force Wounds – incised, stab, defence wounds, hesitation wounds (suicide)
  • Asphyxia – hanging, strangulation, suffocation, ligature strangulation, sex associated asphyxia

Medical Legal Autopsy 1979 Video - Part 1

This is a Part 1 of the 1979 US Army Medicolegal Pathologists Instructional Video, Part 2 of which we already have on Best Gore. Unlike Part 2 which elaborates on the causes of death, Part 1 focuses a lot on proper crime scene management and on determination of the manner of death during autopsy.

As the narrator explains at the beginning of the video, the difference between medicolegal autopsy and regular autopsy is that the former seeks to develop knowledge and legally sound evidence of what happened at the crime scene and who was responsible. That is in contrast with general autopsy which only seeks to determine the cause of death.

Determination of the cause of death (aka mechanism of death) was described in detail in Part 2. The manners of death, the instructions on determination of which are the focus of this video typically fall into one of following 5 categories:

  • Accident
  • Natural
  • Undetermined

Video of Full Autopsy Performed on Young Male

This is a 25 minutes long video which shows a full process of autopsy start to finish. We already have a video of a woman being autopsied (that one had English commentary, this one is in some weird language) so now here’s a video of a man undertaking the same.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but you can sort of tell that this autopsy was performed in some third world country. The cleaver of a kitchen knife used for cutting and black, garbage collector type latex gloves are the primary selling points but there is a whole pile of other oddities too. Like – why is the pathologist autopsying a guy who’s still wearing his underwear? I also liked the use of bottle cap to scoop up the bladder content to keep as specimen.

Still, in spite of the oddities, you can tell that the pathologist has autopsied a fair share of corpses in his time and knows what he’s doing. But when he’s collecting the old blood, you can’t help but wonder if he’d take it to his wife to make a soup from if the camera wasn’t filming.

It looks as though the victim died from a gunshot wound to the chest. The mortician tries to establish the bullet’s trajectory as it entered the heart area and shows organs that were punctured. Then he uses saw and hammer you’d commonly find in a garage to open the skull and gain access to the brain.

It’s an overall great video. The victim could care less at this point if he’s being manhandled or treated like a princess. This one got manhandled but given the violent nature of his death, that’s probably also how he had also lived:

Unclaimed Corpses Used for Medical Research in Honduras

Best Gore member and supporter Vladimir aka Zarqawi sent me these videos he took back in October of last year. A morgue at the university in Tegucigalpa where he studies receives unclaimed corpses on which they conduct medical research or use them for students to practise on.

Honduras, as you may recall is by a vast margin the homicide capital of the world. With almost twice as many intentional murders per capita as the first runner up – El Salvador – Honduras never finds itself short of cadavers.

Well, you tell me what happened to this feller cause I have no idea. He sure looks beat up – must have been put through hell before death found him.

It would appear that he had been tortured. Perhaps those lacerations on his inner thighs were deliberate? They could also be a result of scavenger bites but they look more consistent with a cut. Bound hands would also suggest foul play, but they could have been bound by morticians in order to fit him in the body bag.

I honestly don’t know what the scoop is, but it looks pretty brutal. Give me your theories:

Autopsy on 14 Year Old Boy Who Died from Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever

Dengue hemorrhagic fever is a severe viral infection spread by mosquitoes. It is caused by a virus for which there is no known cure but early and aggressive care can help to get the patient through symptoms. When left untreated and the patient goes into shock, the survival rate is only about 50 percent.

14 year old boy seen in this video died after contracting Dengue Fever which quickly developed into the life threatening Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. He is seen being autopsied by a pathologist while medical students observe the learn. I believe the video is from Colombia, but could not tell for sure. Maybe somebody can recognize the accent and confirm?

A Fixed Brain, Discoloured and Stiff. Much Like the Owner.

As an undergrad I was privileged enough to study human anatomy with the benefit of real specimens. I say privileged quite deliberately because bodies used by universities come from donors who knowingly gift their body for dissection and study.

Most bodies when received by a university are treated with formaldehyde to preserve the soft tissues. It is a very effective preservative, however, the odour of formaldehyde is not something you forget quickly. It leaches into your clothes and skin just from being in a lab with it, and even after a thorough shower you can smell it on you.

Dissection of bodies and their organs occur after preservation, which has the downside of altering the tissues somewhat. The tissues become firmer and the colour darkens but the specimens can be kept for surprising long periods of time if appropriately managed. The most dramatic changes occur to the brain. A preserved or “fixed” brain feels like soft, rubbery plastic. It readily retains its shape and if thrown at a wall would probably bounce back at you. A fresh brain, by contrast, feels like jelly with a thin skin of loose cling wrap. throwing it at a wall would be a messy experiment. It is floppy and fragile and relies on cerebrospinal fluid in which it floats in the skull to maintain form.

Handling a fresh brain can cause damage so it is always limited. For this reason handling one was a relatively unique experience which I am grateful for having had.

Following are two videos. The first is a short overview of the gross anatomy of a fresh brain. The second shows the dissection of the fixed brain of a former NFL player which is severely degraded by a disease called Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy. This disease is caused by repeated concussions and the destructive effects of a protein called tau which forms in the brain in response to the concussions.

I have also included a small gallery of additional images of various brains. My favourite is the one of Albert Einstein’s. I’d love to sit beside that brain on a tram ride through Bern…with a little yellow star stuck to his frontal lobes…and singing Cher’s If I Could Turn Back Time.

Autopsy of Man Riddled Senseless with Gunfire

This video is a compilation of two videos. First one shows I think the execution of a captured Syrian man by the FSA rebels with rapid gunfire (I originally mistyped word rapid with fapid and was tempted to leave it there). After that, the video shows a corpse of a man riddled senseless with gunfire laid on an autopsy table. I do not know for sure if the two videos are related to each other, but they could be.

The autopsy reveals the extent of damage such rapid, concentrated gunfire inflicts upon human body. It also shows how trigger happy humans get when they have a gun and face an unarmed man.
